There is nothing that compares to the S1000rr in any category. It handles like a 600, rolls like a Busa. And, you can ride it anywhere respected by anyone who appreciates motorcycles.

Any idiot can twist a throttle but it takes true skill to match the throttle to the correct lean angle, the right amount of brake, crouch, and body position. I don't care about top speed. Sure it is cool that the Hayabusa was once the fastest street production bike made but that can only get you so far. You can see that the Hayabusa's days are limited now that they are comparing 1000s to 1400s. The end of the Hayabusa is near.

@noslacksucks No mate, bhp & rwhp are EXACTLY the same. It's only called rwhp to let you know that the bhp was measured at the wheel rather than the crank. Bhp is quoted by the manufacturer at the crank, because obviously it's higher than after power losses through the gearbox. The figures aren't the same obviously, but bhp is bhp. Bmw quote their S1000R at 190 bhp at the crank, but many standard examples on dynamometers have shown 190 bhp at the rear wheel, with 211 bhp @ the crank.

The Hayabusa is the best overall deal anyone can get! Cost: My Hayabusa K8 was 11500e brand new!!! If there is something better to buy with that money please let me in on it! Power: Driving it gives me the impression that the Busa has a huge potential to be heavily upgraded! It is like Suzuki gave it only half of what it can do... Looks: Well even if i was not its owner,the Busa has the best looks,by far!!! It just stops people on their tracks! The look on their face,the horror...

@kakmolnia I am 6'3 and 220lbs. I used to take my cbr600rr out on long trips all the time with no problem. 9 or 10 hours being the longest. Just get a good seat and don't be a puss. Now I have a busa and long trips are really easy. Not trying to bust your nuts.....just saying.

@chris88488 the busa also has 0.3l bigger engine and to make up that gap the S1000RR needs to rev a little higher to extract as much HP as possible. 300 revs for 300ml go figure

@ickyickyyaya2000 You mean, fast bike(highest top speed) = better bike? Your argument doesn't make sense. If you claim yourself as an engineer, you forgot including "aerodynamic of bike" in your equation, i.e., coefficient of drag (cd). High horse power or high torque don't mean anything if your bike has "cd" of 1.
