I don't really agree. Acceleration is way more important than top speed. With superior handling, braking and acceleration, a car with superior top speed, but inferior handling, acceleration and braking will not keep up in a circuit.
A ferrari must be slowed down a lot for a corner for example. The GTR can corner at tremendous speeds. It is not the fastest in the world..but it is way more faster than some 200+ mph supercars.
That in my opinion make it a supercar too.

Nissan builds a scarce handful of Spec V every year, less than 20 I'm told and all of are Japan-only. It also really doesn't count if the original manufacturer didn't make it themselves. NISMO being NISSAN's in-house tuner is the only name that matters . If it isn't NISMO, then I don't care. It'd be like saying a RUF 911 beat the a stock GT-R35. Everyone would be screaming foul. Problem is that most current AWD supercars were built only to augment one's driving not so much fill in gaps or replace skills the driver should have already. The GT-R35 really fills in too many gaps too much for my liking. But aside from that the GT-R will be beaten in the next year or so by other AWD and some RWD Sports cars. It's an arms race for want of better term.

Haven driven faster cars I would say the NSX is the best overall as it feels like a racecar and thats what you want at the end of day. Not a floating couch with 700hp.
